Shot on Kodak Portra 400, 35mm; Nikon F55. Shot on Kodak Portra 400, 35mm; Nikon F55. The Poolbeg Chimneys are one of Dublin’s most famous and beloved landmarks. Built in 1969, and 1977, and decommissioned in 2010. At the time I made this photo I’d never seen them from this perspective before: right-up close, with a fresh lick of paint, on a completely clear day. I found them beautiful. The limited edition version is expanded into the true landscape orientation and composition I saw and loved. A minimalist, but striking joy.
